The padding on the cuffs is a safety feature

Not a comfort one. A wide lined cuff spreads pressure across the whole wrist, so someone can pull against the restraint without damaging the nerve that sits close to the surface there. Rigid unpadded cuffs are where injuries happen. The same applies to the leg cuffs at the ankle.

Fitting the cuffs

Fit every cuff so one finger slides underneath. Tighter restricts circulation, looser and they come off. Check hands and feet regularly for coldness, tingling or colour change, and release at once if you see any.

The gag changes your safety plan

With a gag in, speech stops being reliable, so a safe word does not work. Agree a non-verbal signal: a held object that gets dropped, or three taps. Confirm it works before going further.

Two rules that are not negotiable

Keep safety scissors within reach, always, and for the rope especially. Never leave a restrained partner alone, not for a moment.

Using the flogger

Targets are the buttocks, thighs and upper back. Never the kidneys, spine, neck or face.

How to use

Wash before first use with warm water and a mild soap, then dry fully.
Use a water-based lubricant. It is safe with every material we stock; silicone lubricant is not.
Start gently and build up to what is comfortable.
Wash and dry after use, then store somewhere clean, dry and out of direct sunlight.

Care and storage

Wash with warm soapy water; glass and steel are non-porous and can be sterilised by boiling.
Check glass for chips or cracks before every use and retire it immediately if you find any.
Dry fully and store padded, so it cannot knock against anything hard.
Both hold temperature well — warm or cool in water, never in a microwave or freezer.
