Strap-On Dildos

A strap-on is a dildo held in place by a harness, so the wearer can penetrate a partner hands-free. Anyone can wear one and anyone can receive.

Solid or hollow, and why it decides everything

This is the distinction people miss at checkout, and getting it wrong means buying the opposite of what you wanted.

Solid strap-ons are a filled dildo on a harness. The wearer feels pressure through the harness base and nothing internally. This is what you want for pegging, or for any partner penetrating another. The 18 cm strap-on in three colours at ₹750 is the cheapest way in.

Who wears one

Anyone. This is not a toy for one gender or one kind of couple.

Women wear them to penetrate men, which is pegging, and to penetrate other women. Men wear hollow ones when an erection is not reliable, or to add size. Couples of every configuration use them.

The only thing that changes is which type you need, and that comes back to solid or hollow.

Harnesses

The harness decides whether this is comfortable enough to do twice.

Two-strap or thigh harnesses leave the crotch open, which gives the wearer access and airflow. Single-strap or jock harnesses are more stable but cover more. Size down, then size up later

Nearly everyone buys too big the first time.

Girth matters far more than length. Length beyond what the receiving partner can comfortably take is length that never gets used.

For a first strap-on, aim under 4 cm diameter. And remember a harness holds a dildo at a fixed angle, which makes the same toy feel larger than it does held by hand.

How to use one

Adjust the harness standing up and fully dressed first. Straps loosen with movement, so tighten more than feels necessary.

Then the thing that matters most: the wearer cannot feel depth or resistance. None of the feedback that normally regulates this exists. That is why the receiving partner sets the pace, especially at the start, and why you agree a signal before you begin.

Go slower than you expect to. Use much more lubricant than you expect to.

Mirrors help more than people think, because angle is hard to judge from behind a harness.

Is it better than the real thing

Neither, it is different, and the differences run both ways.

A strap-on does things anatomy cannot: you choose the size and shape, the angle is adjustable, it does not tire, and there is no refractory period.

What it cannot do is give the wearer internal sensation, or warmth, or the feedback that tells you how hard you are pushing. That last one is a safety point rather than a preference.

Cleaning and care
