About this product

A heart-shaped spanking paddle in black faux leather, 18.5 cm long and 14.5 cm across, built over a soft cotton centre with an internal metal structure.

Loud, not harsh

The construction is more considered than the price suggests. The metal spine gives it enough rigidity to deliver a real crack instead of flopping on impact, while the cotton padding under the faux leather softens what actually reaches the skin. It sounds far more severe than it feels, which for couples starting out is close to ideal.

At 14.5 cm across it is a broad face, so force spreads rather than concentrating. Broad means sting without the deep bruising a narrow crop can leave.

The heart marks when it lands flat

Square, flat strokes print the shape. Angled ones smear it. A few practice swings on a pillow is the difference between a clean heart and a red smudge.

Before you start

Agree boundaries and which areas are off limits. Set a safe word, or a hand signal that works if speaking is not possible. If either of you is new to impact play, start far gentler than you think you need to.

Using it

Warm the skin with light taps first, because cold skin marks and bruises far more readily. Keep to the fleshy part of the buttocks and upper thighs. Avoid the spine, lower back, kidneys, tailbone and joints entirely. Vary rhythm and placement rather than escalating force on one spot, and check in as you go.

Afterwards

Soothe the skin, offer water and warmth, and talk about how it went. The person holding the paddle cannot feel what the other person feels, so the debrief is where you actually learn.

Care

Wipe with a damp cloth after use, store flat or hanging, and keep it away from direct heat.

How to use

Wash before first use with warm water and a mild soap, then dry fully.
Use a water-based lubricant. It is safe with every material we stock; silicone lubricant is not.
Start gently and build up to what is comfortable.
Wash and dry after use, then store somewhere clean, dry and out of direct sunlight.

Care and storage

Wash with warm soapy water; glass and steel are non-porous and can be sterilised by boiling.
Check glass for chips or cracks before every use and retire it immediately if you find any.
Dry fully and store padded, so it cannot knock against anything hard.
Both hold temperature well — warm or cool in water, never in a microwave or freezer.
