About this product

Adjustable cuffs in PU leather with a soft fur lining, fastening with buckles. They fit wrists or ankles.

The lining is a safety feature, not a comfort nicety

This is the entire reason to buy leather cuffs over metal handcuffs. Rigid metal concentrates pressure on a narrow band of wrist, and a partner who pulls against them can damage the nerve that runs close to the surface there. A wide, padded cuff spreads that load across the whole wrist, so someone can strain against the restraint, which is rather the point, without injuring themselves.

They work as leg cuffs too

Buckle fastening means the size is yours to set rather than fixed, and the same pair goes round an ankle as easily as a wrist. That is worth knowing before you buy a second set for the other end.

Fitting them

Fit so you can slide one finger between cuff and skin. Tighter than that restricts circulation. Looser and they simply come off.

Two rules that are not negotiable

Never leave a restrained partner alone, not even to answer the door. And keep safety scissors within reach. A buckle that jams under tension is a genuine possibility, and you want a way out that does not depend on the hardware cooperating.

Agree a safe word first. Check hands or feet regularly for coldness, tingling or colour change, and release at once if you see any.

How to use

Wash before first use with warm water and a mild soap, then dry fully.
Use a water-based lubricant. It is safe with every material we stock; silicone lubricant is not.
Start gently and build up to what is comfortable.
Wash and dry after use, then store somewhere clean, dry and out of direct sunlight.

Care and storage

Wash with warm soapy water; glass and steel are non-porous and can be sterilised by boiling.
Check glass for chips or cracks before every use and retire it immediately if you find any.
Dry fully and store padded, so it cannot knock against anything hard.
Both hold temperature well — warm or cool in water, never in a microwave or freezer.
