Two bars, which is the reason to buy a set rather than a bar
A single fixed bar suits one position and one body. Two lengths let you set wrists narrow and ankles wide, or start close and open up across sessions. Both bars carry several O-rings along their length rather than only at the ends, so the cuffs can be clipped at different spacings on the same bar.
A spreader bar does something rope cannot
Rope removes movement. A bar holds a position — it keeps limbs a set distance apart and stops them closing. That is a different experience and a considerably bigger step than wrist cuffs on their own, which is why we would not sell this as a first purchase.
Fitting the cuffs
Loose enough to slide a finger under, every time. Check hands and feet regularly for coldness, tingling or any colour change, and release immediately if you see any. Padding helps but it does not replace checking.

Agree a safe word before anything is fastened, and a non-verbal signal in case speaking is not possible. Never leave a restrained partner unattended, for any reason, and keep safety scissors within reach of the person who is free.

- Use a water-based lubricant. It is safe with every material we stock; silicone lubricant is not.

Care and storage
- Wash with warm soapy water; glass and steel are non-porous and can be sterilised by boiling.
- Check glass for chips or cracks before every use and retire it immediately if you find any.
- Dry fully and store padded, so it cannot knock against anything hard.
- Both hold temperature well — warm or cool in water, never in a microwave or freezer.
